In April, I got to spend a day in Recifé in Northeast Brazil as the last port in my South America contract. I found it to be one of the better ports for several reasons. During my photo safari there I catched this image in the historic downtown.
It appears to be a single exposure but it's actually a two exposure vertical panorama. Another way to make use of shooting panoramas is to shoot just a couple frames when there's a need to get more into the shot. I wanted to get those lovely street car tracks and cobble stones at street level. It would not have been possible with just one exposure.
(Shots below...) The people of Brazil have a warm, open, entrepreneurial spirit. They love to pose for photos. I can best describe them as unabashedly happy.
