Moving Pictures

(As many of us do...!)  I have a vast collection of video footage from travel adventures and stage performances that I've shot over many many years of touring around the world.  Some of the edits were done just for fun or to practice my video editing chops.  Others were done for my colleagues who wanted to document or promote their touring shows.  Here is one I did while collecting footage for a short film I am working on.  My sister was tagging along so I included some footage of her swimming down in Brazil.

Touring Maranhenses

An edit of my trip to the PARQUE NACIONAL DOS LENCOIS MARANHENSES with my sister Rebecca. Shot it with my Sony HD camcorder. We spent three days in Northeastern Brazil in March, 2011. One of our tour guides told us we were the first Americans to visit the park in his ten years of giving tours. This vast area is in Northeastern Brazil where the winds create sand dunes and lagoons that fill with rainwater during the rainy season. The park is only accessible by specially certified tour guides who operate specially outfitted four wheel drive vehicles capable of navigating the shifting sands and rutted roads. The lagoons are perfect swimming holes. Because of the strong winds coming from the Atlantic Ocean, there are surprisingly no mosquitos.
